Zone Sampling

Zone Sampling
By Abe Hamm, Precision Ag Specialist

After a grower’s field has been zoned mapped, we do a yearly zone sampling. What this entails is we pull eight 0-10” samples per zone after each growing season. From this data, the grower can make a more informed decision on fertilizer and planting population based on each zone.

As Kendra mentioned in last month's e-mail, good data can help drive demand in the marketplace and drive premiums for your operation. To use data, you must be collecting accurate data and that starts with a good zone mapping and yearly zone soil samples.
